Chess Galea is a Maltese-British singer, artist, model and songwriter

Chess has been played on acclaimed local radios such as BBC London, Surrey and Cornwall as well as local London radio stations like ‘Hoxton Radio’. Chess has been 'track of the week' several times on BBC Introducing South-West, having regular interviews on this show.

Recently she has featured as a backing vocalist on Jack Savoretti's number 1 album 'Europiana’. Chess also wrote the lyrics for the Nintendo Switch ‘Bayonetta 3’ theme song ‘Al Fine’ that also features her vocals. You can hear her on the song ‘Moonlight Serenade’ in the Nintendo Switch game, too. The game won 'Best Action Game' of 2022. In 2023, Chess wrote a song for K-pop girl-band Apink called ‘Candy’ for their album titled ‘SELF"‘.

In 2023, Chess performed her own songs at The House Of Commons in Westminster London at the Launch of ‘Whose song it it anyway? Women In Music series’ to amplify voices of women working in the music industry.

Chess toured North America with Brit Floyd in 2023 as their soprano backing vocalist. In August she performed at her first big festival Boardmasters - on the BBC Introducing stage.

She believes in supporting feminism, equality and contributes towards mental health awareness. A lot of the time, proceeds from her self-designed merchandise and live shows go to charities supporting these causes and charities. Chess also hosts a podcast called ‘The Big Vag Energy Podcast’ where she and her-co host discuss and interview other women, tackling issues that women still face in the 21st century.

Chess also is an incredible vocal coach and her students have reached successes on TV both in singing and acting, having one student in The Voice and another in ‘The Umbrella Academy’.
